How to Create Animations & Interactions with Wix Studio

The One-Stop-Animation-Shop: The Interactions Tab

So, no more running all over the place to find your animations! Everything you need lives under the *Interactions Tab* on Wix Studio. Here, you can trigger animations for all kinds of actions: entrance, hover, click, scroll, and even loop. And trust me, by the end of this, you’re going to be the wizard of web animations. 🧙‍♂️

Entrance Animation: Making a Grand Entry

First up: Entrance Animations! 🎉 When you choose this trigger, your elements will animate into view when they first pop onto the screen.

1. Choose the Element: Select what you want to animate.

2. Click the Entrance Trigger: Head over to the *Interactions Tab*, and click on `Entrance`.

3. Preset Magic: Choose from a variety of animations presets.

4. Customize: Adjust direction and tweak it until it's just right.

5. Preview: Get a sneak peek right from the Inspector.

Hover Interactions: Interactive Awesomeness

Hover interactions are as easy as pie! 🥧

- Trigger animations on hover by just selecting the triggers, and watch the magic happen.

- Note: You can’t add two hover interactions to the same element. But... you can get super creative and trigger a second element with your hover action.

One Element to Another: The Hover Effect

Want to get fancy? Select your hover element, head over to *On Hover*, choose `Animated Element`, then pick your secondary element and set your interaction. The possibilities are endless!

Click Interactions: Click & Go

Moving on to click interactions! Think of these as hover interactions, but with a click. Simple as that! Click one element to trigger an animation on another. It’s perfect for buttons, photos, or anything that’s more fun with a click action. 📸

Scroll Interactions: As You Like It

Spice up your site's journey with scroll interactions.

1. Select an Element: Head to *Scroll* under the Interactions Tab.

2. Animation Area Slider: Define when the animation starts and ends. This is your magic wand controlling when and how your elements animate along the viewport as you scroll.

3. Tweak & Preview: Experiment with settings till you hit that sweet spot!

Loop Animations: Continuously Captivating

Keep that action rolling with loop animations! You can make these as subtle or as attention-grabbing as you like.

- Choose your loop duration.

- Adjust how it eases in and out for a polished, nuanced effect.

Building Custom Animations: Your Design, Your Rules

Who doesn't love a custom touch, right? 🤩

- Select your element.

- Hit up the *Custom* option from the Interactions panel.

- Mix and match settings to build something totally unique and mind-blowing.

Bonus Tip: Got creative juices still flowing? Name your custom interactions, so you can easily find and apply them across your site, giving every corner of your project that one-of-a-kind vibe.

The Cascading Rule

Once you've aced your animations, let the cascading rule do the work. Any interaction you set up will apply automatically to lower breakpoints. But hey, you can always override if you’ve got a different dance move in mind for a smaller screen.
