So, let's dive into custom cursors in Editor X.

The New Feature: Custom Cursors

As I mentioned earlier, this feature may have been released just a few days ago, and it's still in development. Some of you might already have it at your fingertips, while others may need to wait a bit for the complete rollout. Nonetheless, this exciting addition to Editor X allows you to set your creativity free and add your own unique twist to your website's look and feel.

To create your custom cursors, you'll need to use a design tool like Adobe Illustrator. If you don't have access to Illustrator or just really dig the cursors I created for this tutorial, feel free to grab a copy from the link in the description below. You can even open the project file in Illustrator and customize the colors to match your brand.

After exporting the custom cursors as PNGs, you'll need to upload them to your media library in Editor X.

Creating a Custom Cursor in Editor X

Once you have your PNGs uploaded to your media library, it's time to apply your custom cursor to your website. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to create a custom cursor in Editor X:

1. Open your website project in Editor X.

2. Head over to the "Settings" tab on the left-side panel.

3. In the "Settings" tab, make sure you're in the "General" section.

4. Scroll down, and you'll see the "Custom Cursor" feature.

5. Enable the option for a custom cursor, and you'll see two fields: "Cursor" and "Hover."

6. Upload your desired cursor images for both fields from your media library.

7. Preview your website to see your custom cursor in action.

Easy, right? But please keep in mind that this feature is still in development, which means it might not work perfectly in all scenarios just yet. But fear not; the Editor X team is hard at work ironing out the kinks to make this feature as smooth as possible.

Why Use a Custom Cursor?

You might be wondering why it's even necessary to have a custom cursor on your website. Well, here are a few reasons:
