StoryWorks is BBC Studios' branded content division. We produce compelling narratives for third party clients, using the BBC's renowned storytelling abilities.
Sitting between Design and Product, we are creating a new Product Design team, whom will be responsible for three key areas: internal custom builds; in-house CMS ownership; custom ad builds. We aim to be as resourceful, efficient and innovative as possible, to deliver exceptional digital experiences for our clients, audiences and stakeholders.
The Role
This role is focused on elevating our in-house CMS, ad-products, and custom sites, leveraging UX/UI expertise to deliver refined, impactful, and visually engaging interfaces.
With a forward-thinking approach, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to build efficient, high-quality products that push the boundaries of design innovation and enhance user interaction at every touchpoint.
Responsibilities:
- CMS Design & Enhancement: Design, maintain, and enhance the in-house CMS to ensure an optimal user experience for internal teams and external users.
- Ad-product Creation: Develop new ad-products using Celtra, bringing creative solutions that meet both client and organizational goals.
- Custom Webflow Sites: Build and customize Webflow sites to align with branding and project specifications, ensuring high standards in visual design and functionality.
- Innovation & Efficiency: Drive innovation in product design, fostering collaboration across teams and improving design workflows to enhance efficiency.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, editorial, and technical teams to ensure designs are aligned with company goals and brand identity.
- Audience Engagement: Ensure product design reflects diverse audiences' needs and complies with accessibility and usability standards.
What Does It Take?
Essential Criteria:
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret user feedback and analytics to inform design decisions and improvements.
- Figma Expertise: Proficiency in Figma for creating, iterating, and collaborating on design work, with a good understanding of its features and best practices.
- Creative Suite and Tools: Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite, with the ability to produce high quality production ready assets.
- Trends & Technology Awareness: Up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in product and UX/UI design.
- Portfolio Evidence: Strong portfolio showcasing creative problem-solving and experience in product or digital design. Please ensure that an accessible link to your portfolio is included in your CV and/or Cover Letter.
Desirable Criteria:
- Understanding of Product Development: Familiarity with iterative product development cycles and experience in a product-focused environment.
- Proficiency in CMS and Web Tools: Demonstrated experience in CMS management and Webflow, with knowledge of Celtra for ad-product development.
- Collaborative & Communitive: Ability to articulate design decisions effectively to cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 + London Weighting (£5,319) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
Location: Office Base is London, Television Centre. This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will balance office working with home working
